NextGen at the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond (JCFR) is proud to offer either $180 or $250 Micro-Grants to empower Jewish young adults (ages 21-45) and organizations to create and host community-building programs that foster Jewish connection, identity, and engagement. These grants are designed to support grassroots initiatives, including (but not limited to) group Shabbat dinners, social outings, arts & culture programs, wellness events, and Jewish learning experiences. Funding cannot be used for private functions or family celebrations.
Please note, there is a maximum of four applications per year, once per quarter. Funding is provided twice a year, with a minimum of three months between receiving funding.

Application Process:
1. Complete the application form below.
2. Submit the completed application 2-3 months prior to program.
3. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed monthly.
4. Grant recipients will be notified within two weeks of review.
5. Within 10 days following the event, host is required to share details, receipts of purchases, and photos/videos in a short host summary to be reimbursed.

POST-PROGRAM FOLLOW-UP:
Grant recipients are expected to submit a brief reflection within 10 days after their program. This should include photos (if available), number of participants, contact information for participants (if agreed upon), receipts of purchases, highlights, and any feedback.
